The
Duncan Studio of Celtic Dance,
established by Sue Theron 24 years ago, brings Irish and
Highland dancing to life. Renowned for her dedication to
these dance forms, Sue runs classes throughout the week from her
studio in Paulshof, Gauteng providing formal training to dancers
of all age groups and genders.
Irish dancing
has enjoyed a magical revival since the exciting international
appearances of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Our dancers
have delighted audiences around South Africa and beyond, with
their precision and skill when competing and their creative
flair and passion when performing at various exhibitions and
Corporate events.
Highland dancing
– with the swirl of the traditional kilt and the haunting chant
of the pipes, who can resist this traditional art form?
All studio
dancers are formally trained in the traditional methods of Irish
and Highland dance techniques in which they compete and grade,
but are also strongly encouraged to test their creative flair in
choreographing special exhibition items of a more contemporary
nature. |
